Intellectual Propery and Copyright Policy


By using HOSAFA (the "Service"), a service of House of Africa Ltd ("we" or "us" or "our"), you are agreeing to be bound by the following Intellectual Property and Copyright Policy (the "Policy").

This Policy, together with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, governs the Service and any data, text, information, screen names, graphics, photos, profiles, audio and video clips, links and any other materials uploaded, downloaded or appearing on the Service (collectively referred to as "Content").

1. We claim no ownership or intellectual property rights over the Content that you upload to the Service. Any intellectual property rights in the material in your profile and in the uploaded Content belong solely to you (or your licensors).

2. By submitting, posting or displaying Content on or through the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display and distribute such Content in any and all media or distribution methods (now known or later developed), subject to these Terms of Use. You represent and warrant that you have sufficient rights to grant this license. You can remove your Content at any time.

3. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users of the Service to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law and are properly provided to us. To make a claim, please provide us with the following:

(a) A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or the person authorised to act on its behalf;
(b) A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
(c) A description of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material;
(d) Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email;
(e) A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
(f) A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under the penalties of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We reserve the right to remove Content alleged to be infringing without prior notice and at our sole discretion. In appropriate circumstances, we will also terminate a user’s access to the Service if the user is determined to be a repeat offender.
